gonna be tough. peyton bounces back. but have a feeling andre catches a couple of TD's. steal one in the mile high.
I feel a lot more confident after watching the Broncos play last night. I felt like people were overhyping the Broncos after beating an aging Steelers defense with a banged up Troy P and no Harrison out there.
Potato head had 10+ years of working with mostly the same dudes in Indy. You can't just replicate that in one offseason in Denver.
I think Denver's defense is better than people here realize. Our offense is not as explosive as Atlanta. I think in the end we win a slugfest. Houston 20 Denver 17 Peyton throws for two touchdowns, Schaub gets one and the running game gets one.
the broncos aren't who a lot of the media thought they were. it showed last night against a pretty good falcons defense and great falcons offense. peyton doesn't have to throw 3 picks for the texans to win this game. we have an elite defense and also a great offense. disturbing peyton will be key, and i think Santa Wade will finally unleash a bigger blitz package this week. my guess is he's been saving some that aren't required for the likes of tannehill and gabbert. i do feel that after this week's win against the jaguars, the broncos will try to stop the run against the texans. we're going to need for our receivers to consistently beat coverage and schaub to be accurate and poised in the pocket and on the bootlegs, which i think will happen. 27-17 texans
Why do people say Denver has a good defense? Last year they were 20th in yards given up per game, 24th in points given up per game, 19th in first downs given up per game, and 14th in yards given up per play. That's with having an offense that pretty much only ran the ball (and therefore ate up the clock). I would put Denver middle of the pack in defense at best. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2011/opp.htm Are you basing that opinion off what has been done this year?
Watching last night's game, it was quite clear that the Broncos do not know how to play Manning's style. It will come, but it clearly hasn't yet. The Oline and RB's were confused every time Manning tried one of his patented last second changes and it created huge problems. The Atlanta defense did a masterful job disguising itself all night. Manning had no idea who was coming and from where. Manning has never seen this Texans defense. Heck, most of the starters are gone from 2 years ago. He is not going to know what hit him or where that pass went when JJ swats it into the upper deck.
If this game was here at Reliant I say we win by 7. It's not so I think because of the Altitude and our History it's a between a toss up and us being a 1 point dog.
TEXANS 43 Broncos 23 Paidtons Manning will "meet" mister JJ sWATT for the first time... about five times... and then together they will meet the floor... let the bodies hit the floor... let the bodies hit the floor... ♫ <s>Olajuwo</s> <s>Mutombo</s> JJ Watt: 4 blocks on Defense. Defense will remain number one in TOTAL, will retake #1 in passing, rushing. Offense will be #1 in offense AND rushing again. ¡VAMOS, TEXANS!!!!
