So he got a job before Ryan Mallett? Didn't see that coming...

Well, Randy is fat but mediocre enough to be in the NFL kicker rotation - Mallet is just a lazy entitled P.O.S.

Randy is better at his job. Even assuming they both are skilled in alarm clocks and googls maps.

    6. Houston Texans (Average WR grade: 77.1)
DeAndre Hopkins (92.2), Nate Washington (72.1), and Cecil Shorts (66.9)

Plays with three WRs: 60.2 percent

    Average age: 27.3

Currently our fourth-overall WR, third-year standout DeAndre Hopkins emerged last season with 1,210 receiving yards and six TDs, but has taken it to another level this season. He is currently third in the NFL in receiving yards (870) and already matched his 2014 total of six touchdowns. Hopkins is also doing all of this while playing alongside average to below-average veterans in Washington and Shorts, as well as with struggling QBs in Ryan Mallett early, and now Brian Hoyer.

    Standout stat:

    – DeAndre Hopkins is the second-most targeted receiver (111) in the NFL, behind only Julio Jones.

The lions sure looked set to make a run last year. So did the Browns half-way through the season.

It was probably unrealistic to expect that he'd be able to crack his way into any other 53 man roster midseason. They have high picks invested in two LBs, and Ellerbe is a higher profile FA though injury prone. And it's probably a jump in complexity going from RAC to a Ryan defense. Sure would love for him to be playing here, but the short term IR spot was used for Ryan Griffin. Now we gotta wait til week 14, and that's IF he even comes to terms with the front office.

Didn't think I would ever say this. Glad Whitney is playing instead of clowney.

Fair statement. Right now Mercilus is a better player. Hopefully 1 year from now when (if) Clowney is 100% he will be what everyone thought he would be.

Nice job, Texans. So little interest in a MNF game thread... it's even for a share* of first place on the putrid AFC South!

How is that money they paid Kareem looking? Everyone's talking about Clowney but Jackson was supposed to be the #1 CB this year. When playing, he has been like the 3rd best out of a secondary playing very mediocre.
