Holy Moehler! He's looked real good so far tonight and was terrific in his last outing. When he's locating his pitches well, he can be pretty darn effective. I hope he keeps it up. I didn't have much faith in him coming into this year even after what he did last season. I hope to eat my words.

Well, one bad pitch and it's tied up.

On another note, former Astro, Ben Zobrist, is tearing it up for TB. Was he part of the Wigginton deal? Looking back at his numbers in the minors, he seemed like a pretty solid hitter... high OBP guy, walked a lot....

After getting his first error of the season in the top of the inning (tying his mark from last season), Hunter nearly hits an inside-the-parker. Gotta get this run in here.

    And there it is...

Not much of a prediction, it was bound to happen sooner than later.

Thanks. Huff had a heck of a year last year for the O's.

Bourn is a vacuum in center field. Fun to watch.

Not a good time for a walk but Sampson gets the final out. He's been a stud ever since being moved to the pen last season.

    Definitely.

All 6 NL Central teams are 5-5 over their last 10 games. You don't see that very often.

it just shows that none of the teams are going to run away with it, if the stros pick it up a bit they have a chance to get into the fight, and that's all you can ask.

The brewers and cards are notorious for peaking early. I don't think either will win the central. Not sold on cincy or Pittsburgh so the cubs still are my pick to win it. The astros will definitely make another push and we shall see how good they can be when we get our players healthy.

I'm just glad we now have two solid young position players to build with. Bourn and Pence are looking like legit players. Bourn is already better than taveras ever was for us.

I agree that Bourn has more potential but Taveras did have a heck of a rookie season for us. Wasn't he runner up for ROY behind Howard? I thought Taveras actually deserved to win it since he played all season long with pretty good numbers.

I really wonder if he is trying to pitch through an injury. Hopefully Wandy will turn it around next time out.

Not quite the outing I was expecting from Cy Wandy tonight. As with all pitchers, they'll hide an injury until they just can't hide it any longer. So the consensus I'd go with is that Wandy just simply sucks right now.

I'll take 3-1 any week. Good series and if we can continue we should be within striking distance of the division by the all star break.

Realistically, do you really think this team has enough to win at all? Man i miss the Jeff Kent, Pettite, the new kill b days just 4-5 years ago...Astros really are in a hole with al lthis money locked up to 3 or 4 players...
