He lives in LA last time I read. I know he is not in Houston because when the Rockets honored the decade of the 90s team. Hakeem, Clyde, Mario and Horry showed up except Kenny, which is why I don't have high regard for him. If he didn't ride Hakeem, Barkley would be all over him.

Too bad that (nut)sack-o-crap Barkley called him a bum first. He has no respect for the Rockets or their former players. saying kenny would have been cut was just par for the course for him though.

You do know he was doing NCAA that night right? He wanted to come but couldn't change his schedule. Time to change your regard.

Btw, someone give Chuck a Snickers because he acts like a real ***** when he's hungry

Kenny is always giving props to the Rockets, especially the championship teams he was on.

Kenny and Sam are good pals.

Did you see at the end of the show last night, he was saying how the Clutch City team all respected each other despite people being so different,

Dream being Muslim, Sam talking too much, Max staying out too late at the clubs etc

as mentioned before, he was working.

He's always repping the Rockets of 90s all the time.

Which is something that people with clutch city in their hearts do.

Why is this thread only 2 stars? Kenny Smith was a key championship player, who recently has been standing up to Charles Barkley, setting the record straight about the Rockets' performance against the Suns, and about Kenny's own abilities as a player. This is critically important history for any Rockets fan that wasn't lucky enough to have watched the championship teams.

But I guess newer fans would rather meditate on Jeremy Lin's navel lint and whether the coach is being too mean. SMH.

Kenny reminds me of Ice Cube.

People now think of Ice Cube as that dude in the beer commercials and the corny movies.

But back in the day, if you do your research, you'll find that
AmeriKKKa's most wanted and Death Certificate were the hardest and realest hip hop albums of all time.

Same with Kenny, people just know him from TNT and jacking up all those 3s against Orlando in later end of his career.

    They don't know.

    So they hate.

Seriously? Are you trying to change this to a Lin discussion? I agree with your comments about Kenny Smith. No need to stir up a hornets nest for no reason.

Kenny was a breath of fresh air after drudging through the likes of Allen Leavell and Sleepy Floyd. He brought swag to this team which was sorely lacking at the time.

    kenny was a bada$$

loved the show last night. perfect end to the first Rockets playoff win in... too dam long.

that single win helped make the comcast debacle, slide into the playoffs, and 0-3 series start all seem palatable and worth it for a really gutsy playoff showing from this young team and an invaluable lesson that can only be learned the way it unfolded.

Feels good. Almost like when Kenny was playing.
