All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PBP, that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on AT&T Sports SW unless otherwise noted.

    6-25 Trevor Williams (R) vs. Gerrit Cole (R) 7:10

    6-26 Joe Musgrove (R) vs. Framber Valdez (L) 7:10

    6-27 Chris Archer (R) vs. Brad Peacock (R) 1:10

Hmm. Pirates are technically last place in the NL Central, but they're only 4 games under .500. And they're tied with the Reds. Yes, those Reds. They're riding a 4 game winning streak, and their road record is just a little under .500. The only stat that stands out particularly negatively is they only have a .300 record against teams >.500, which is the worst in the NL as a whole. Still, not a team to be taken lightly. Time to start another winning streak, 'Stros, with no excuses.

Don't let Bell and Reynolds beat you.

Even more than the offense not showing up, I am more worried about our pitching beating ourselves.

NL Central has to be the toughest division top to bottom. No crap teams, all the teams are above or just below 500.

Last place teams are only 6 games back from first, so they're all well in the race, and they're going to play that way.

Would prefer if Brantley and Alvarez switched. Why pitch to Alvarez with Gurriel on deck?

@Astros please play a Musgrove highlight tape including when he caught and chugged a brewser during the championship parade

That thought would apply to whomever was in front of Gurriel, or White or Stassi for that matter.

Few reasons I can think of.

    1. That bregman/brantley combo of plate discipline and OBP is really scary to pitchers.

    2. Alvarez earlier in order means more ABs for him.

    3. Most importantly, more men on base for Yordan to drive in.
