Nothing but respect for Pat Beverley. He was one of those guys that kept me coming back to watch. Even through the terrible 15-16 season. He was nothing but heart. Let me tell you the moment that I really became a Beverley fan. He always played hard, but the day the Rockets traded for Ty Lawson, a guy that was going to take his spot, he talked about how excited he was adding a guy like Lawson and how much it would help the team. That speaks volumes to me. An amazing teammate. Loved to watch him play as a Rocket and I will ALWAYS cheer for him.
Hard to be happy about the developments of today because I grew to have so much respect for Bev. Nothing but heart. No quit in him. Wish him well the rest of his career.
One of my all-time favorite Rocket players. I hope he doesn't injure Harden or Paul when we play against him.
Man, I love getting Paul but hate to lose Bev. One of my all time favorite Rockets and wish the man nothing but success. He is a tough SOB and he will be missed.
My earliest Beverley memory is him chasing down Tony Parker on a fast break and taking his layup out the air
I disagree with letting Patrick go. Patrick was the heart and soul of the Rockets' defense. He was one of the best defensive guards in the NBA. We still won't be contenders without having a stronger front court. I am a huge fan of CP3 though. Now that we have CP3, we need to strengthen our front court ASAP.
Mad respect for his heart and hustle making the most of the opportunity the Rockets gave him. Would've preferred we kept him, but sadly not to be. Wish him nothing but love and all the best (except when we face him). Hope he gets a video tribute on his 1st game back in Houston.
All character. All integrity. Alone in that regard on this team, in fact this organization. A throwback to Vernon Maxwell, minus the personal demons. The best.
I still think too much was taken with the subtraction of this man. But at least now all the players know Leslie Alexander is a control freak that shuts things down when he can't bare to compete any longer due to some injuries. Game 6 was a fix job and at least Beverly doesn't ever have to play for an owner like that anymore. It's all or nothing Beverly, way to go dude.
Bev, This is bump worthy. Not because of what I might say, but who you were to most of us. The heart and soul through our comeback years. Hopefully we can win the big one and hopefully you'll find your way back to Houston for it. I got a lot of love for you. I might have to add the Clips to my NBA League Pass subscription. It'll be hard to root against you, but when you play the Rockets it will be a little easier. I'm down for my team like you always were. Good luck. I mean it. One of your thousands of #1 fans, Don Grahamleone
Wolverine always played like it was the last day of his nba career. He played the same even with season ending injuries, death threats and family loss. He would gladly play the foil if it meant his team had the upper hand. Old school cat. Among the last of his kind in the age of superfriends.
I will always remember him as a Rocket. I feel fortunate to have seen him play for us. Awesome player. Great story. Amazing guy.
