Talk about the series here. Please no PBP in this thread. Unless otherwise noted all games are on CSN-H (for about 40% I guess).

5-29 Ubaldo Jimenez, RHP vs. Brad Peacock, RHP 7:10

5-30 Miguel Gonzalez, RHP vs. Brett Oberholtzer, LHP 7:10
This is the Civil Rights game. The blackout will be lifted on MLB Network so Houston can see the game.

5-31 Chris Tillman, RHP vs. Dallas Keuchel, LHP 3:10

6-1 Wei-Yin Chen, LHP vs. Scott Feldman, RHP 1:10

Who is Obie replacing in the rotation? Or is someone hurt and I'm unaware?

    Nice! DVR set.

The non-PC side of me thinks it's funny that they didn't want to blackout a Civil Rights game.

    6 man rotation?

They aren't skipping anybody. Keuchel would have been scheduled for that game.

In addition to the four pitchers listed above, Cosart and Keuchel are also in the starting rotation.

    Six man rotation it is.

Seems like they might going with a six man rotation for the time being to buy some more time on the decision who to remove Obie/Peacock.

You should get a lot of action with the way Peacock has been throwing  LOL!

This team will show a lot, by how it plays this series.

They are just buying time until Super 2. After that, they will bring up a bunch of guys from the minors and go tandem.

In all seriousness, Oberholtzer hasn't looked too bad despite the whole giving up a lot hits and HRs. Hey, its a little easier to work on reducing HRs and hits when you get a few K's and don't walk a lot of guys.

If they pull out the first two, then the sweep is possible.

    I think they go 2-2.

Jimi has been pitching well for the Orioles, but has been stringing together some bad luck the last two starts.

Eh. He walked 5 batters last game. I don't know if you can make good luck in baseball, but you can quickly make some bad luck if you walk guys.

In 10 starts this year, Youbaldee has given up 4 or more ER and coming off of two games where he has given up 5. If we can get going early, he may be a snowballer.

González is coming off of a 4 BB game and has only given up 2 runs in each of his past three starts (with a relief appearance in between). He has surrendered 8 homers (7 in starts) and pitched well against us earlier this month, though we blew a 9th inning lead in that game.

Tillman threw a shut out 3 starts ago, but has been shelled in his past two giving up 14 runs in those two starts. Another candidate who has surrendered homers (9 on the year), and he too can walk some batters (averaging just under 4 a game). He lost to Houston his last go around and gave up 5 runs in 5 innings while allowing a homer to Castro.

Wei-Yin Chen has given up 4 homers in his past 2 starts and 5 ER in each of those two as well. Not a man to walk batters (1.5/G), Chen averages 11 hits a game. Hopefully we will be that 11 hit club that we have decided to be over the past few weeks.

I really don't remember many times where we have been burned by the shift this year, they seem to really be effective. That ball was torched and it became a routine out.

The commentator must have meant starter ERA.
