These so call analyst all sounds like a bunch of dumba**es. They kept repeating that Harden flamed out... dude seriously? yea he fu*ked up in the pass couple playoffs.. But they're too dumb to acknowledge that he was also the sole reason the Rockets got to the playoff. The team was Harden... and Harden... yea i would give him some leeway on sitting out on defense (of course i would prefer that he doesn't) but he barely had any help. And he got burnt out in the playoff.. After 60 games of the 2018 season, with the best record in the league, seeing the rockets blow teams away, beating Lebitch's team (before he cried to gm to blow the squad up) and winning the season series against the golden bi*ch (which we or other teams never did in the last few years).. but these jacka** still want to say Rockets don't have a chance because harden will flame out in the playoff.. This clearly means these dumba** haven't watch a single game and saying pathetic incompetent comments because it's easy.. SMH.
It is what it is. Harden broke my heart last year; That's how bad Game 5 and 6 were. Those awful playoff games is the only thread Harden haters can hang onto now to discount this season. As annoying as it is to hear, It's up to Harden CP3 and MDA to re-write the narrative. Until then, Rockets fans will have to endure.
I agree. But as a spoke person on tv... can most of them not sound so pathetic by ignoring what the rockets are doing in the 2018 season and hanging on the solo man Harden failures in the playoff.
The media is on a two-pronged offensive to try to take away the legitimacy of Harden's MVP. First by saying Harden is a system player and has stats only because he's in Dantoni's system. Secondly by propping up Lebron's inflated numbers against weak teams. 10 more games to go.
Bumping this, for when we win, tonight. "GS lost today because they knew they had one to lose. They already got game 1, Shaq." "I agree with Chuck. Ain't gon' be no more of this bbq chicken for game 3." "You guys don't think the Rockets can sustain this momentum, moving forward?" "Nah, Ernah. Can't win championships with a jump-shooting team."
coverage of last night's game from the NY Times this morning https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/14/sports/james-harden-rockets.html
I'm watching ESPN's The Jump, Rachel Nichols really annoys me. All these people that think she is genuine in her praise for Harden are not paying attention. Every time Harden has an MVP discussion, she come in with a covert diss about How it's unsustainable. She always brings up how the "the check comes due in the playoffs". Even b****-ass Pippen was giving stats on how amazing this run from Harden has been and here come Rachel talking about, "second only to Russell Westbrook in his MVP season". Shut your ass up Rachel!! I see you! ! know what you're doing! Dishonorable mention to TMAC who was implying Harden is resting on defense so he can put up these shots. Memphis was deliberately going at Harden in the post and Harden was having none of it. Post defense counts as defense and is probably more taxing on the body when you have 275 lb players leaning on you.
I also liked how Harden’s dominance has scared Scottie into and Tmac agreeing with starting a new record book because all the old records are going to get beat.
You see what they are doing here.. segregating Harden into a new category to preserve there own records!!! jk jk.
Media conspiracy https://bleacherreport.com/articles...ho-would-be-nba-mvp-roy-if-season-ended-today Most Valuable Player: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks If the NBA had a midseason MVP, James Harden might win in a landslide. He still might this June. But these MVP races tend to sway and swerve and evolve over 82 games. When it's all over, I believe Giannis Antetokounmpo will be the one cradling the Maurice Podoloff Trophy. His nightly scoring figures are not as gaudy as Harden's, but consider this: Giannis is the only player in the NBA averaging at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and five assists (he's at 26.5, 12.6 and 5.9, respectively). He's also averaging more than a block (1.4) and a steal (1.3) per game. He not only drives the league's third-ranked offense, but he guards every position and anchors the NBA's top defense. Heading into Thursday, Giannis ranks ninth leaguewide in scoring, sixth in rebounds, 10th in assists, third in free-throw attempts and 10th in field-goal percentage. Here's the other stat that matters: .739. That's the Bucks' winning percentage, the best in the NBA. Nearly every MVP in the last 30 years has come from a clear title contender—a team that won at least 50 games and finished top three in its conference. The lone recent exception was 2016-17 MVP Russell Westbrook, whose Thunder won 47 games and finished sixth in the West. Giannis fits the MVP mold perfectly: a transcendent talent who is leading a legit contender in the East. The Bucks are on pace to win 60 games. Harden will make this a tough race. But the Rockets aren't likely to crack 50 wins, and there's a chance Harden's game will start to suffer from the heavy minutes and heavy usage. LeBron James will be in the mix if he gets the Lakers into the playoffs, but his games missed (14 and counting) will hurt his candidacy, as will his team's record. Kawhi Leonard will make a strong case as the driving force for the Raptors. Joel Embiid will earn attention as the key star in Philadelphia. Steph Curry and Kevin Durant have the requisite stats and team winning percentage, but they'll surely split votes as co-leaders of the Warriors. Anthony Davis' candidacy, already weakened by the Pelicans' poor record, probably ended with the news he'll be out for weeks with a hand injury. The Giannis campaign requires no caveats or asterisks. Just a lot of exclamation points. —Howard Beck
God that was an awful hot take. Why does Cowherd act like his **** don't stink? "When CP3 returns, Harden will have to dramatically change his game and they're not gonna win a playoff series" KISS MY ASS COWHERD! YOU SUCK
NY Media's Alan Hahn didn't like Harden before. Said he was boring basketball. After seeing him again at the Garden, doubles down.
