A 1st round bye is the same thing as winning a Playoff game and advancing in the Wild Card round. If the texans are in position next week to get a 1st round bye by winning their last 2 games, then they should treat it and prepare for them the same as they would a Playoff game.
This all likely comes down to Pittsburgh vs New England. There's a decent chance one of KC or LAC ends up 13-3 and claims one bye. New England has two really easy games at the end the Texans lose the H2H tiebreaker, so one wildcard spot is really just about that one game. If KC loses to LAC today, that opens up some other possibilities, but still would be fairly difficult to pass them.
Hopefully plans that don't include Joe Webb. We have three tights ends and three running backs, I don't want to see Joe Webb on the field if its not for special teams
Good grief. I really don't think the Texans can assume this guy will ever be healthy. Including next year or any year.
Same on Webb. I doubt Foreman will be active this game. He hasn't practiced all week. I would love to see Lamar in the slot and Blue or Foreman as the tailback in some snaps. But I think the slot route tree is probably too complicated for Miller to learn on the fly.
Too bad. I think his success would have put this draft class (and this offense) over the top. Right now we have a great pick in Reid, a good player and great value in Thomas, and unreliability in Keke and Duke. Rankin is okay too but I think it was a miss trying to play him at tackle.
People keep saying that, and they keep assuming that it's a new injury week to week. If the initial diagnosis on his hamstring strain had been Grade 2, that would have meant he needed a minimum of 4-8 weeks of rest. He tried playing somewhere in the middle there and re-aggravated it, which restarted the clock on his injury. The smart thing here is to sit him, and not play him until we absolutely need to. Throwing him out there in crappy weather conditions against a team that's in tank mode would not be smart.
This is really frustrating. Without Fuller, Coutee was the ace in the hole. Basically he just in a hole that he can't seem to get out of. AND it was reported that Foreman was practicing and now he is not practicing. What is the deal?
