Good thread. For the life of me, I don't know why people defend Lin in the other thread. Why keep bumping a thread you don't like? Ignore the haters.

Lin is a great basketball player, for a bipedal biological organism.

So the question becomes, what's the reason for his inconsistency? Is he just naturally inconsistent? Matchup dependent? Does he need to be 100% to play well, as in he can't play through injuries as well as others. Mental makeup?

Watch this game and watch one of his games from last week, and you can't tell me they're the same player.

Don't win this game without him being Robin to Harden's Batman. Harden was getting winded from doing most of the heavy lifting offensively in the 4th and somebody elsse needed to step up. Couldn't rely on Dwight tonight and Chandler wasn't knocking down shots. Lin stepped up big time.

If it is truly his back been bothering him, then he seems to be a bit "soft" (if i dare to say tonight) to injuries. It may be important to work on his conditioning, diet and stamina. Imagine Lin with Bev's toughness and recovery from injuries.

I guess Lin relies a lot on his first step, if he loses that, his game is very limited. In those situations, it's better not playing him and just let him rest and heal.

Supposedly he was playing with an injured back since the All-Star Game.

You forget that the bench played better defense then the entire front line did all game.

I have been a Lin detractor but you have to give it up to him. Jeremy Lin had a great game and was the reason why we won. Props to JLin.

He needs to keep up the aggressiveness, doesn't matter if he scores or not

I don't want to see that lethargic, randomly turn the ball over Lin ever again

Remember how ineffective Howard was last year with a back problem? Or how Parsons had big problems in the beginning of the season with his back issues?

A bad back isn't like a sprained pinky.
