It took a youtube vieo create by CFer more than a year ago for James Haren to change his ways. Embarrasse by his own effort that year James took a huge step in the right irection last season after mentoring by Thibs. This season however, he seems to have regresse further uner McHale an JB. Left the D out of every word. Impressive. :grin: He is surrounded by enablers. I don't know if his teammates say anything, but if they do, he obviously doesn't listen. His coaches do nothing about it. And the GM....well, when the original video came out, he basically said that was unfair to James because you took the worst 10 minutes of his defense(or lack thereof) and showed the world and if someone took the worst 10 minutes of you or your job, it wouldn't be pretty either. Not saying his teammates hate him but it has to be frustrating.

No he's not surrounded by enablers, he's surrounded by pushovers! None of them, INCLUDING the Owner/GM/Coach/Players have the CAJONES to tell him he defends like a five year old girl! It's embarrassing to see a PROFESSIONAL athlete play with such disregard for half of his trade! He's actually a worst defensive player than he's a great offensive player! Pitiful, Pitiful, Pitiful!!! ....... ....... .......
giving up on plays before they're over is a bad habit, but it's not defense related at all, same **** would happen on offense. When you're playing as many minutes as he is, especially when ill, you're going to literally look for every second you can take off. You'd think Harden makes enough defensive errors without having to focus on things that aren't really defense related at all
in the nfl they call that offensive pass interference, and give you a 10 yard penalty, repeat down, it might even be called a personal foul for horse collaring and become 15 yards in the nba, the refs don't see it.
If you were to believe an interview by Kevin Harlan, he inferred that McHale tried to coach Harden but Harden took personal offense to it. Is Harden coachable or did his head get too big this offseason? Either way, his defense has regressed remarkably.
LOL, This deserves five stars for the title alone, lol. Hopefully Harden feels better soon and finds his D. He really needs to man up.
I've already seen so, so many more plays from Harden that are by far worse than T-Mac's infamous Toronto game. lololololol
