A series win would be awesome. Bauer has always given us fits so it would be great to see the bats take advantage of the fact that he has been struggling all season. As for Fiers and Musgrove, you never really know with those two. If we can take 2 of 3 I'd be very very pleased.

As astonishing as it is, we've only lost 2 series this year, and one of them was to Cleveland.

Avenging that loss would be a nice way to start this tough homestand.

We have to break the Bauer curse... I want to see us hang some real crooked numbers on him tonight.

Fun fact... Bauer (among others) was traded for Tony Sipp (among others):

On December 11, 2012 he was traded from the Diamondbacks to the Cleveland Indians in a three team deal. Bauer went to Cleveland with Matt Albers and Bryan Shaw in exchange for Didi Gregorius, Tony Sipp and Lars Anderson. The Indians also acquired Drew Stubbs in a deal that sent Shin-Soo Choo and Jason Donald to Cincinnati to complete the deal.

Tough match-ups, but I would gladly take 2 out of 3 against the reigning AL Champs, while they miss our two best pitchers.

Let's have some fun this weekend!

    Kansas City

Also, they have won 4 4 game series already. That's not easy.

Our 2 losses to the Indians in that first series were both 1-run games. In total we scored as many runs (13) as they did over the 3 games.

Francona is an excellent manager whom I both fear and respect. We need to win this series as a confidence-booster. Go Stros!

WLW. I'm going to just pencil in a loss every time Fiers pitches until he can string a few consecutive games together without giving up more than 1 home run. It's a low bar for most pitchers, but Fiers ain't most pitchers.

    Fun, random stats:

The Astros have a winning record in Fiers-started games.

Fiers has given up 16 HRs, totalling 19 runs. Only 4 runs have scored against him any other way.
