JJ Redick got $23 MM/1 year
    KCP got $12 MM/year

If House's agent gets 9 MM/yr MLE for him, he walks for nothing in July.
reason: His agent thinks other owners (New York, LA or Cuban) is more likely to offer him 4-year 60 million in 2020. Tilman will not offer him anything more than 30 MM contract.

    Earning potential.

Seriously speaking, he probably already did. This isn't just a hot streak, otherwise he would be bricking left and right since coming back. He had been gone from the time for a while.

Dude is legit. I hope we win a championship that way it won't feel as terrible losing him in the summer.

What if House plays well for 3 months, helps us get to the promise land and we LOSE and leaves for a fat contract?

I just don't understand all the frustration aimed at House and/or his supporters.

It's like people are reading posts with a frown and their heart rate increases.

    Hilarious !!

But we have no state income tax! :D

No true contenders are operating under the cap so here's to hoping he picks the hometown team if the numbers are within the same ballpark.

If he signs a 2 year with an opt out at the full MLE, we may be able to get his bird rights after next year? At this rate, the Rockets have to make it a priority to keep House through Harden's prime.

Front office stans would back them even if it meant Betting against the team (which was true in this case)

Their narrative has shifted to “hell be gone anyways!” Now.

Classic case of needing to "be right", instead of "getting it right".

This silly behavior happens in life plenty times. Pathetic.

Its because most of the people who support House are now just being trolls. They care more about being right than actually rooting for House.

Not to mention, a lot of the posters who support him dont have alot of good takes a majority of the time. Or they want to use it to take a jab at other parts of the team. It literally happend right below you.

There was no shift. House leaving has ALWAYS been the most likely outcome, which is why we tried to lock him down (it was literally our only shot because we won’t be able to afford him this summer). He’s always wanted to be a free agent this summer. He’s been betting on himself because he knows he’s legit and worth more.

Now the fact that we sent him back to G league is questionable. I’m not familiar with the rules, but we didn’t have to do that did we? That one seemed like a tax saving move to me. We probably could have locked in 2nd seed at least if he stayed.

"Tried to lock him down"? At the minimum for three years? If the following tweet from red ninety four is true, House would've taken a three year deal for what would've been the rest of this year's MLE:

Think he might get more than 4M a year now from someone this upcoming offseason?

You know, the MLE money the Rockets couldn't spend because they "needed flexibility." It turned out the flexibility they sought was the ability to limbo under the tax threshold. And thereby spare the necessity of treating a what would then be 36 year old Chris Paul as a gigantic expiring contract to be moved.

Not the flexibility to give Morey all the tools he needed to make the best possible team.

    Absolutely infuriating.

I stand by what I said. There was no shift. The most likely outcome was that House was leaving regardless, so we took a chance. None of us were in those negotiations so that tweet could be true or false.

House is a good player and a great fit, but I trust morey to fill out the team with that flexibility he still has. At the point of negotiations it was a tough call to make, but morey and co chose flexibility.

At the end of the day, we still have the best team on the court for this year’s playoffs. Compare the beginning of the season roster to now for just a taste of what morey can do with flexibility. We’ll see how House performs with his next team and then we can better analyze whether flexibility was the right choice, or if we should have gone all in with house + zero flexibility.

For now, I’m just going to enjoy watching this team compete in the playoffs. Talking about this house garbage with HOFs is just pointless and tiring.
