So Clippard has now surpassed Devo based on a couple outings?

This thread and Astros @ Diamondbacks should have been just called [Official] Astros-Diamondbacks August Classic in one thread

We go against Corbin today, glancing at his record this year, he is all over the place. Some great starts and some terrible ones. Meanwhile, Fiers has been bad to terrible his last 4 starts. Hard to say how today's game will go given the erratic nature of both starting pitchers.

Fiers needs another one of those one day demotions to the bullpen to get going again.

I watched him pitch his last start against the Cubs as it was on the TV at the bar I was at Saturday...Corbin has some great stuff. Didn't know he threw 95+ mph.

Yes he does. But what will/has dictated his results is how many mistakes he makes. Our offense is perhaps the best in the league at taking advantage of them.

If we get bad Fiers today (my prediction), then one could expect a high scoring game. And the winner determined by whose pen gets it done.

Having put my thoughts down, it will be a pitching dual :D

Probably Hinches plan in using Gregerson/Hoyt last night. Knew he might need long relief today.

OMG! Did I just see an Astros catcher throw out an opposing team's base stealer? Holy smokes! WOW!

And Fiers lets the 7-8-9 hitters destroy him.

That was a juicy fastball that Peralta should have crushed. Astros lucky as hell right there.

These apparent signs mix ups are more likely Fiers not being able to locate anything here in the 3rd.

Nice bounce-back from Fiers there to only allow 1 to score.

Fiers is just leaving fastballs right over the middle of the plate. When he can't control it he's pretty much a gas can.
