Hi Folks. Please beat us in all of these games. At this point, I'd rather have the Cubs take the 2nd pick if we can get it.
are you a Cubbies fan? if so, please don't take my Cub hate personal. Good luck next year in the Senior Circuit. Wish my team could stay there where it belongs.
Why hate the Cubs? It's not like they are any good. Though they may still be better than the 'Stros. Sigh.
There are so few people there you can hear people in the crowd talking. Hilarious! Reminds me of some of those old Expos teams.
Houston just isn't a real baseball town. When the Oilers left the Astros were the only serious contender this city had and people loved them for it. Football has sucked up all the collective attention of this city and the only way to get it back is winning be it the Astros or the Rockets.
Houston is every bit as much of a baseball town as 90% of the other cities hosting MLB franchises. The Astros have sold over 3 million tickets 4 times. Even last season, worst in franchise history, the team had pretty average attendance. You can't judge fan base by how they withstand one of the worst 2 year stretches not just in franchise history but in MLB history. Aside from maybe the Cubs, where fans show up for the Wrigley event more than they do the team, there isn't a fan base in America taht would stick around to watch a product comparable to what the Astros are selling right now. Having said that...Houston is first and foremost an NFL city....which is indicative of nearly every city in America at this point not named St. Louis. The NFL is a beast that transcends sports at this point.
four times. A lot of folks watching bad baseball for a "not baseball town". Indeed. Indeed, indeed. Just wanted to repeat everything you said in hopes that the repetitive redundancy might help folks catch on.
If LA got a football team, would they be football first? Or is that the one city that is basketball first?
