No reason to be an ass to someone who is hopeful. Osweiler put up 16 on a KC defense that was better last year and had more talent. Texans will need to put up more to win and defensive advanced metrics suggest our defense this year is actually better.
Yeah he's pretty much torched the entire NFL in his first 20 games or so... But it is weird hearing tmac talk about ROUTES!
Chiefs not getting the respect they deserve. This game will be the first true test the Texans will face against a team that matters. Patriots have been very ordinary.
They are basically number one in every power ranking and are considered superbowl contenders. I believe they have gotten plenty of hype.
The Chiefs D practices against a better version of our offense all offseason. We don't have Bouye to cover Kelce. Our offensive line is still low on talent. This should not be a pick 'em game.
Pressure has been fine. We played the best pass blocking team in the NFL against the Titans and hit Brady like he has never been hit before. Have a feeling that missing a whole season has affected Watt and it will take a few games to really have the game slow down again. We should just hope the game he finds his pass rush will be against the Chiefs who have a broken O-Line right now.
It's understandable after back to back stellar games by Watson that there would be an overreaction though. If he makes it three in a row and the defense doesn't completely sh*t the bed then the Texans will probably be favored in every game the rest of the season when it comes to the gambling odds until/unless there is a correction.
Luckily this isn't how football works. Have to keep in mind, they don't have Berry, Hali, or Ford. Their pass rush has been awful this year. Their O-Line is starting three backups, one of which hasn't played since a major injury in 2016. This is absolutely a pick em game with the Texans at home. You have to keep in mind that we beat KC with Brock Osweiler last year.
I don't feel Vegas is overreacting. I just don't think Vegas has any clue who the Texans are yet. The Texans will go as Watson goes this year. They are a 500 ball club with bad QB play. They are a 10-6 squad with average QB play. They are a 12-4team with really good QB play. We will find out soon.
Reasonable analysis. I am going with 12-4; if DW shines again against KC, that is where the Texans are headed. However, with rookies, regression is very possible.
4-0. Being called the best team in the league by media. Coming into Houston to face an up and coming team... I agree. This is a trap game for KC.
Regression will happen. It's a good sign he is doing this without a dominant running game. He is the one who is helping the running game so far. It's a reason why I was never high on Dak last year. It's another reason why I still don't believe in Alex Smith.
