They prefer to torture free agents, that's why no FA's got to Dallas. **** organization from top to bottom.
About right. The only guy I see actually benefitting the Rockets from the buyout pool is Tyson Chandler, but it looks unlikely he'll get bought out. The Suns have no reason to buy him out unless Chandler requests a buyout.
Very disappointed at Morey for not trading for Nelson. Backup point guard is a glaring hole in our team!
Don't see TC getting bought out with his deal, would be a pleasant surprise. Perhaps Speights or Brandon Wright. If not Bogut it a good FA option.
"...other players who ended up staying put such as Tony Allen, Marco Belinelli, Vince Carter, Nerlens Noel and Brandan Wright could secure buyouts from their teams." from: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...tate-warriors-lebron-james-los-angeles-lakers
Interesting SI article mentioned Wilson Chandler as a possible buy-out candidate: https://www.si.com/nba/2018/02/08/nba-trade-deadline-cavaliers-clippers-isaiah-thomas-deandre-jordan "A bunch of contenders stood still Thursday. The Warriors, Rockets, Celtics, Spurs and Thunder all declined to make moves at the deadline, and most could still use a piece or two for the home stretch. The Rockets are loaded, but one more player could signal they are truly all-in on taking down the Warriors this season. The Celtics need scoring, the Spurs need Kawhi Leonard insurance and the Thunder need an Andre Roberson replacement. Fortunately for these clubs, the buyout market will present another opportunity to improve their rosters. Joe Johnson (may have a little left) and Derrick Rose (stay away!) are those already expected to become free agents after getting traded, with perhaps a Wilson Chandler shaking free as well. We’ll see which names do actually enter the market, but I would assume some of the top teams aren’t done tinkering on the margins. It’s not a bad position to be in for potential free agents, who could end up with their choice of contender to hang onto for the playoffs." I wouldn't mind adding him at all. I mean how many switchy wings is too many, really? Maybe he's not the Chandler we need, but he's the one we deserve?
