Montas seems to "have it" too-- he's looking unhittable

Can't figure this guy out. He throws gas with movement, yet doesn't strike anybody out. He's a fly ball pitcher who doesn't give up HRs, but gives up a bunch of baserunners.

Oh, and there's that patented Altuve baserunning.

Why didn't Piscotty try to go 1st to 3rd on that passed ball?

    TOOTBLAN

His aggressiveness seems to mostly be a positive (SB's, errant throws/errors, easy bases, etc) so, I'd guess stats say Altuve is a positive baserunner overall easily.

    Pettis wasn't waiving him?

He wasn't waiving Altuve either so I dunno.

    99 mph exit-velocity on Tucker's flyout.

    I am entertained.

Stros will score, then close it out.

Yankees best case today is a split in their doubleheader after losing Game 1.

Am I the only one that thinks Gerrit Cole reminds them of Val Venis, circa 1999?

I hate these pseudo stats like absolute run differential and "most strikeouts by an Astro before the All Star Break."

Even Todd and Geoff had to admit that the All Star Break changes year-to-year, so the latter doesn't mean a whole lot.

They always seem to bring up run differential in games where the Astros cannot score a single run. I mean, they don't have to use the term "standard deviation," but everyone's wondering the actual distribution around the mean is. A +10 and a -2 average to a +4, which is pretty high, but it doesn't mean you won both games.
