Crazy that Correa is batting 7th. That's a sick lineup. So Miley actually made the roster? I get that we need left-handed pitchers, but would Hinch ever dare hand him the ball in a close game? Or to start a pivotal Game 4 should it reach that point?
Yeah he's basically the break glass in case of emergency pitcher If we get down a ton early, or we're down 5 or 6 late and don't feel like burning good arms, or if we run out of arms in an extra inning game. Hopefully he doesn't make an appearance.
Yea. A bit surprising. My guess is Miley gets the ball if we are getting our a**es handed to us at some point and we need someone to simply burn 2-3 innings to put us out of our misery. He would not be used as a LOOGY and no lead is safe enough to put him in. Hell at this point getting a 62-63 year old Frank DiPino off his couch would probably give us better left handed pitching than Wade.
I can see them piecing together a game 4 is stros are up 2-1 so that Verlander can go on regular rest in game 5. Miley can be part of that crew. Its insane how before grienky got here we were so comfortable with Miley being our 3rd starter. He lost it at the worst time
