Well, division lead down to 4 games with A’s also making a push. This is what a AAAA lineup looks like.

 

0-1 to Bregman...runners on...2 outs...he stares at a 91mph meatball right down the middle of the ****ing plate. If you don't believe me, go back and look.

He made a good AB out of it and all, but that's not what they needed right here. Swing the ****ing bat.

 

Any reason why Hinch seems so reluctant to fill Kemp in at 2B?

 

Seven starts now where Gerrit Cole has allowed 2 or fewer runs and will earn a no-decision or a loss. It's the most egregious example of the five starters but certainly not the only starter afflicted by this.

This month the Astros are really going to miss the double-digit number of opportunities earlier in the season when they were at full strength and couldn't mount basic offense to get wins after often above-average-to-brilliant performances by most of their pitchers.

 

I haven't counted yet how many hits they have in the past 100 innings or so...couldn't be many.

 

It will be 3 games in about 20 minutes.

No, I was just making a side comment in light of the defensive shuffle. I've said that after trading for Pressly, we should shift gears and go after a bat. I was fine with Rondon as closer.

This is getting sad very fast. This team looks depleted ! They have become so undisciplined at the plate even Bregman just standing there his last at bat and letting two pitches go right down the middle.
