3 OF injured. Feel so bad for Teoscar. I'll assume he goes on DL tomorrow and I'll guess Kemp replaces him.

And if Keuchel punches with his left?

Except he hasn't done that at all this year.

Keuchel doesn't do $hit if Hinch pulls him. As much as he wants a complete game I think he realizes it's early April.

You apparently didn't read Keuchel's comments the other day.

Keuchel doesn't do anything because Hinch isn't stupid.

Very subtlety was complaining about not going past 7 innings. I looked for the article and couldn't find it. He went 7 in a game that was a bit cool and maybe rainy and he said he understood why he was taken out then, but implied he should not have been taken out in others. Most notably, he was referring to the KC game.

Acquired taste but pitching a full game should only be done for 1. The perfect game, 2. The no hitter, 3. Your gf in a tight astros baby doll jersey is praying behind the catcher's net.

Life must be good when we're talkin' bout' why our ace pitched 9 innings. =)

Back when the Astros had the best ERA in the AL? Damn you, Hinch.

surprised to see how much hinch bashing and keuchel-went-too-long bashing there is as i read back through the thread now. We just beat the defending AL champs on their home turf. With our #1 throwing a beast of a game. Is 10 pitches over what you think his max should've been going to kill him? His arm looks good..this isn't last year where he's already dealing with an injury and has had velocity issues recently. Plus, this # of pitches doesn't happen every game (first time exceeding 100 pitches)--and the extra off day.

Hope for some health out of Springer going forward. And hope he's feeling close to normal!

edit: another bonus--a completely rested bullpen going into 2 more games against a good team with plenty of offensive weapons (plus Fiers going in 2 days)

I get not wanting to let your guys go too far but hell...they aren't going to break. Pitchers in the 70s and 80s started 35-40 games a year with a 4 man rotation. Nolan had 26 complete games 2 seasons in a row and over 300 innings. The human physiology hasn't changed in the last 40 years.

    Astros beat Indians.
    Rockets beating OKC.
    Rangers down by 7.
    Mariners down by 10.
One of Angels and As will lose tonight.
    Osweiler isn't a Texan.

I would like to point out that exactly zero people said anything about pulling Keuchel after 8 until the HR.
