We have a three game series against them in September and I hope our squad is healthy when we face them. Boston looks like a team that's going to be really tough. Bullpen is questionable but their offense is crazy.
Shout out to Joe Smith for coming in and striking out two with a runner on 3rd and not allowing him to score.
Since the beginning of May, Smith had faced 74 batters and ony allowed 14 to reach base. His WHIP is around 0.67.
Good pitching usually beats good hitting in the playoffs. We have the best starting pitching in the majors. I like our chances.
Yeah probably, probably right, yeah Boston is probably better yeah you're right probably. We should probably not play them they are probably better.
I don't like Astros odds of beating Boston in the playoffs. Astros are going to have to settle for beating NYY again in the playoffs.
As things stand now, if the Astros beat the Yankees, then they get to the World Series. That means the Yankees win the wild card game against the A's, then beat the Red Sox in the ALDS. So, that's a good plan.
Why’s that. Astros rotation and bullpen smoke Boston in comparison and the lineup (when healthy) is as close as anyone in MLB
The best team in baseball was the Dodgers last season and that got them all of nothing. Baseball playoffs don’t give two ***** to who the best team is. A healthy Astros team shouldn’t be looked down on by anyone. We are stacked. Doesn’t mean it’s going to come together at the right time, but our odds to win once the playoffs start should be as good as anyone else. It’s amazing how many people still view the MLB playoffs like the NBA. It just doesn’t work like that. If you make it in, you have a shot to win it.
