None of that truly helps once you step in the box.

You think those hitters facing Nolan, Mike Scott, or even Brad Lidge didn't know that they ultimately were swinging at a ball?

A Johan Santana changeup that always dives out of the zone?

A Randy Johnson slider that not only was a ball... but often was a wild pitch, yet still induced a swing.

Hitters see the ball... and they swing. Sometimes, what they thought they saw isn't actually there.

Sure, they could simply guess... and that would likely be picked up on pretty quickly.

EDIT: Granted, Grienke is nowhere near those guys...

    Did Marwin miss a sign?

Shouldn't have taken anything close with the runner going.

Take notes McCann and Gattis. That's how you throw a runner out.

Didn't look close though, granted haven't seen a reply yet with the strike zone.

    Goldschmidt is Bagwell.

Astros need to stop assuming they're out and run hard.

Hmm, fell asleep and just woke up. Damn late games.

I see from the game recap that we're having trouble turning hits into RBIs as we have this whole time we've been slumping.

This Diamondbacks team looks, how to say, "snappier" than other teams we've played. Sharp defense pulling off that 6-4-3 DP. That double by Lamb was made possible because he ran hard the entire way. Wish I saw that from us more.

McHugh may have a high pitch count, but he's only allowed one run. Gotta get those bats going. They do seem to be cracking the ball hard. Maybe they'll actually get some drops.
