[Official] Astros @ Cubs (One Night ONLY!!)

i don't love the pitcing matchup...but zambrano hasn't been real good at wrigley.

 

Here's hoping that Carlos Zambrano throws the first pitch at Michael Barrett's head.

 

I think he will.

Because Barrett is the catcher.

 

hopefully barrett can turn our season around. I think he's the sparkplug we need.

 

Barrett's a big guy. His head is easily out of the strikezone high.

 

Wow, so he is almost as tall as the batters when he is crouching down.

 

I just want to see a sweep, even if it is a one game sweep.

 

If Roy was pitching, I'd agree.

 

Barrett isn't catching tonight.

 

That would make it that much more fun if Zambrano gunned a ball into his own dugout at Barrett.

yeah, sorry about that!! i got it late that day. that was classic, though!

 

zambrano has been bad at wrigley. But he's also been horrendous with Barrett catching... so today we see which one has a bigger effect.

I'm afraid it'll be the Barrett effect, and we'll get stomped by him..

 

Not if the Astros show enough urgency to overcome it. A sense of urgency can hide many flaws.

 

Our offense can be so anemic at times. If he gives up 2 runs in seven against us, is he pitching better or do we just honestly hit that poorly? I think we will call tonight's masterpiece the Astros effect as Zambrano gives up just one run.

Thank God we are going to win 2-1 in the 10th on a Carlos Lee Home Run!
