Bregman becomes the 6th player in franchise history with multiple 30-HR seasons.

    Bagwell - 9
    Berkman - 5
    Davis - 3
    Wynn - 2
    Alou - 2

SIX other Astros can either match this achievement or notch their first 30 this season.

Osuna could use some clean innings.

A 25-pitch successful save has value, but might render him available the next day/inning.

Plus, regaining some dominance wouldn't hurt either.

I'm just questioning why the poster I responded to wrote that Osuna was averaging giving up two runs a game

Because Osuna has underperformed this season and has outright sucked the last 2 months.

But he is not giving up anywhere near two runs a game...so, as I wrote, I was curious as to where he got that stat

He gets over a strike out an inning and almost never walks anyone. His WHIP is under .90 .... he is fine.

He doesn’t allow runners often at all... again his WHIP is sub .900

Entering today, he'd allowed 3 runs his last 1.2 innings.

TWO run average if you round up :)

Bottomline, Osuna needs to play better.

Dodgers and Yanks lose too but I still don't feel good about us catching up. It will be a tight finish for sure.

What a relief! Seemed like the Astros were stuck in neutral. Much needed win.

Are you saying that we have to find replacements for those three as well? Ohh noes.

Yanks have A’s and Dodgers coming up in their schedule. We take care of business, should be fine.

    https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sp...der-Takeaways-from-series-vs-A-s-14342185.php

For how terrifying their lineup is, the Astros are only average with runners in scoring position. They entered Sunday’s game hitting .265 — 13th among 30 major league offenses — and dropped it to .263 with their putrid performance.

Their .836 OPS with runners in scoring position is seventh in baseball. More concerning is their on-base percentage in these situations. It’s only .348. Fifteen major league teams are better.

It suggests the Astros struggle with something they often pride themselves upon — passing the baton from one batter to another and stringing innings together.

For me, this helps explain why its seems like we should be better than we are.
