I remember Mike Scott's nono was the day of my driving test. Had to turn off the radio before he completed it. That's ok. Have it on tape somewhere. Believe I seeded it on Torrent once.
Stros seem to be throwing a 6-man rotation these days regardless. A good strategy for keeping them fresh and sharp.
There was a mention last week that Peacock will get one more start (tomorrow) and move to the pen. I'm assuming the doubleheader is the reason.
Well if the Astros end up in an epic 18 inning barn burner in the playoffs; they are well equipped with Morton, Devo, Peacock, Musgrove, Martes, Harris and Giles
Per 790.... Latest Vegas odds have Astros (20%) as the championship favorites. 2nd CLE (18%) 3rd Dodgers, I guess (didn't hear because I was tripping off Astros being 1st) Didn't find any link for confirmation. In fact, this one says we're 3rd.
Sorry to hear. They'd given Verlander an extra day before his first start. I'd rather give guys an extra day each turn in preparation for the stretch run.

Thank you Buck! For some reason my radio is getting bad reception right now, and I still don't have TV due to Harvey
And probably one of McHugh and Morton... I think they'd tell you that they'd rather stay on a regular schedule instead of gaining an extra day between starts. Don't forget that all of the Astros rotation with the exception of Verlander and Fiers have spent significant time on the DL this season. No Astros starter (not including Verlander) is going to qualify for any stat title (must pitch at least 162 innings). They're not risking being overworked this season.
Keuchel had pitched every 6th day the previous turns, but good points regarding injury already limiting their innings this season. Fatigue shouldn't be an issue, except JV perhaps. Maybe limit his PC to eighty-ninety a few times.
