Keuchel getting those grounders thus far.

He's hitting the zone low and FB is 88-91.

He might lower his pitches/inning tonight (20.3) - which currently ranks 3rd highest in the league this season.

That was only 96.3 mph off of Altuve's bat... maybe if it gets it up to 100 mph then that one goes out.

Or if its not 40 degrees.

Ball will carry better when it gets warmer soon enough...

Yes, if Altuve hit that ball harder it would have gone farther.

Correa is getting a proper Keuchel workout so far.

This has been vintage Keuchel so far. Love it.

He excels when he either can get first pitch strikes, or he can consistently get the low strike call.

Paxton matching him since the leadoff HR.

Nice AB Yuli. He messed around and walked.

Seems Paxton's PC won't allow his seeing the 7th. Finishing the 6th could be an issue.

According to Statcast, Keuchel has only thrown one bottom-of-the-zone pitch that was truly borderline (it was against Jean Segura) and that one was called a ball. Still, the umpire doesn't seem to have tightened the bottom of the strike zone overly much either. So far so good.

Gattis not DPing there is progress. Baby steps

A single by Marwin is welcomed.

Paxton already with two 25-pitch innings.

Cruz with the jack, but still, thanks for remaining a crap fielder with 2 outs on the biggest stage.

The Mariners have Diaz, Pazos, and Altavilla pretty well-rested for today's game when Paxton finally wears out. Beyond that, though, they haven't got many quality bullpen arms. Marc Rzep...ski and Juan Nicasio have really had a hard time getting it together this year.

Joking of course. But last year Fiers was the whipping boy for the Astros.
