The bet is: When rosters are announced, will a new Rocket be ranked ahead of Langhi at SF?

CriscoKidd's side says Yes (because SF is a glaring weakness and this draft is loaded with them), and heypartner's side says No (the Frontline will be beefed up first, and Walt, Langhi and the 3 guard rotation can handle the SF weakness for now).

Just like football...picking a Derrick Chievous does not win the bet for the Crisco side; he must beat out Langhi THIS YEAR, or we must acquire an NBA vet to beat out Langhi. Otherwise, we couldn't consummate the bet on Oct 31st.

The Winners get to rename the Losers' monikers.

We will do pair match-ups so that everyone has exclusive naming rights over someone else. As previously promised to get more people in the bet, if I lose then all winners get a piece of my ass; ie. naming rights for a month.

Bold names means agreed upon match-ups.

You have until very soon to join the bet.

It is looking like my side has 2 to 1 odds, meaning each of us gets to change 2 of you, should we win!!

I'm game...and due to my belief that our frontline is weak, I think that we'll emphasize that area 1st.

I assume that, upon renaming, one starts again with 0 posts?

I have to go with upgrading our small forward postion. Similar to two drafts ago when point guards were abundant, this draft is oozing with small forwards.

    Breakdown
Probable/Possible non-small forwards that will be drafted in the top 13

Curry, Richardson, Diop, Wood, Tinsley, Brown, Chandler(do not really know whether high schoolers will play sf, pf or c), maybe Bradley, maybe Murphy

Probable/Possible small forwards that will be drafted in top 13
Radman, Battier, Johnson, Gasol(I guess he is a sf), White(tweener), Jefferson, Griffen

There are too many good small forwards. The big guys will go early(top 7) and late in the first round(20-29).

heypartner: fine, I'll join on criscokidd's side. I want you to answer this question though: what happens if there's both a new sf and a new PF? Is it a tie?

I bet a new SF will be ahead of Langhi.

Even if the Rocks trade one of the picks to move up to get Jop, their second pick will be a SF. Worst case, TMo with the 23rd pick will move ahead of Langhi.

    haven,

The bet has nothing to do with PF/Cs, although it is a reason why my side thinks you will lose.

The bet is the first sentence in the openning post. There are NO ties. Your new SF has to beat out Langhi in camp. Just like in football. Picking a new SF in the draft isn't enough. Picking Derrick Chievous doesn't win!!!

Isn't this a pretty simple bet?

You guys say we need a new SF starter. My side says that Rudy doesn't work that way; Rudy may want an immediate SF starter, but he won't get it, because of the PF/C weaknesses.

by "new" sf, do you mean a rookie or just someone new to the team?

Valio! I just clarified that in the opening post.

REMEMBER, Derrick Chievous does not win the bet. And Radman will not beat out Langhi by opening day you fools!!!

I need some more people on my side. Rudy will not move Radman ahead of Langhi on opening day!! Join me!!

s32, you've been outed. Congratulations. It's only fair though to let Crisco speak for himself.
