Knicks just trying to get Melo to waive his no-trade clause after the damage WOJ's article did. Pretty smart.

They really ought to be banning James Dolan if they're going to ban anybody. As long as he is the owner that organization will forever be awful.

Oakley should sue for defamation of character. Calling someone an alcoholic can have damaging effects that could prevent business opportunities. If Oakley has a pretty clean record, he should take the man to court and get paid. If he does have trouble with drinking... different story.

This would have been comedy material if it wasn't real life.

Wow, it had to take the Commissioner to settle this petty dispute.

Silver is the only league commish that would put anything out their like this. Could you imagine Goodell putting out a statement saying him, Robert Kraft, and Tom Brady hashed out their differences about deflate gate over a pint of beer?

Sounds like Silver did a good job. Both parties made mistakes initially, and the Knicks as an organization were horrible in the situation.

Does anyone honestly believe fences were mended? It sounds more like Silver putting the squeeze on them to play nice in public.
