Truly a win-win for everyone, if Coop returns to star from and the Raiders waste the 1st, we can laugh at Gruden and Davis some more, if Coop fizzles out, we laugh at the Cowboys.

Now that Oakland has 3 first round picks, they should probably trade up for a once in a generation pass rusher, or a big, athletic WR.

    :eek::eek::eek:

    WHY DALLAS!?

    3-4
    Could have drafted Calvin Ridley
Weren't willing to give up a 1st for Earl Thomas (pre-injury) but a 1st for AMARI COOPER?!

    None of it makes sense.

Two egomaniacs thinking they have ripped the other one off.

For the Cowboys this is a desperate and flimsy short-sighted move. It would be one thing to pay for a stud monster WR like Julio Jones, but you're paying a 1st round pick for a WR who doesn't have that size + speed combo to be effective on the boundary and is only really good in the slot, where you already have Cole Beasley? Then you have to try and acclimate him into the offense within the next 2 weeks and hope he can be the savior of your woeful passing game? On top of all of that... Cooper is due for a new contract so there is no guarantee even if he does help them out that he would even stay there.

This trade just makes no sense to me at all from Dallas' point of view. It would be one thing if Cooper could legitimately save their season but his play the last 2 years seems to suggest he's not elite.

Why not just resign Dez. Cooper has kind of sucked this year. Dallas got completely ripped off. Raiders go from being a SB contenders a few years ago to rebuilding. Don't pay old retreads a lot of money.

Ya I'm not sure the Raiders needed a complete implosion/rebuild. Three first rounders is nice but even hitting on 2 of them is somewhat of a long shot, not to mention not all that cheap either.

Raiders plundered the Cowboys. It takes a guy like Jerry Jones to make John Gruden look good in a trade.

Current Raiders "GM" Reggie McKenzie drafted Derek Carr, Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper over the last 5 years. Have you heard of any other 1st or 2nd round picks he's drafted?

    No?

That's why the team is being blown up. Every other player the guy drafted was not even good enough to start in the league. Multiple first and second round picks completely bungled. While they were able to use all their FA money on linemen while Carr was on his rookie deal, they were supposed to be using the draft picks to build the defense. Drafting is hard, but this guy is the king of boom or bust. He hit a homerun with Mack, but Mack was a top 5 pick, you're supposed to hit homeruns in the Top 5.

So, while I have zero faith in Gruden controlling drafts and personnel in general, I also think there was little choice and he's maximizing and accelerating the rebuild as quickly as possible. This will be a 2 year rebuild minimum and at this point I strongly believe even Carr will be moved on from, possibly even cut after this season as they would be able to get out of it pretty easily then.

Carr was essentially figured out by opposing defensive coordinators last season. They found out that if you double his first read and apply bookend pressure, the guy will crumble and panic and checkdown (sounds familiar).

Part of it is injuries he has suffered, part of it was the "schism" that formed in the lockerroom last year after he said something to his all-black offensive line about standing for the anthem (unsubstantiated rumor but I believe it). Part of it is his weaknesses are now well known and he hasn't been able to adapt.

Even the team that won 12 games in 2016 under Del Rio had massive issues and needed band-aids in the secondary. They won a lot of close games because the offense was clicking that year.

**** changes quickly in the Not For Long.

    I think Carr is fixable.

His issues are all in his head.

The Raiders are smart though and would be smart offering Carr to anyone(Jacksonville) willing to toss in a first rounder.

Raiders should now sign Dez and let him have a more productive second half than Amari in phallus. LOL. What a **** show.

This reminds me of when the Cowboys traded for Roy Williams. I mean I want to be excited about it but the guy has been incredibly inconsistent.

And it's not like they are bringing him in to play with an All Pro QB.
