Uhhh, the government would keep it all to themselves, like they have for 60 years. You can't "moderate" a country/regime that controls it's borders with the military and bans all access to outside information.

Enjoy the sanctions from all the Asian countries and probably EU for spreading nuclear fallout.
No country would approve of a US massive nuclear first strike.

That's why the US has developed probably the most dangerous nuclear warhead in the last 30 years...a SMALL one. The US has begun deploying "dial a yield" capable nuclear bombs that can delivery much smaller and tactical devastation that doesn't irradiate the entire countryside. In fact, they can be dialed down to as low as 2% of Hiroshima. This would allow the US to tactically strike any meaningful targets in a country, while leaving the vast majority of a particular country and infrastructure in tact. This actually has a lot of the world uneasy, as it takes away the main deterrent to using a nuke...total devastation and lasting radiation over wide swaths of land (not counting retaliation).

The biggest threat from North Korea isn't their nuke program and the ability to build an ICBM. Its a one off saber rattle to force talks or to try to squeeze some money. The biggest threat is the fact that North Korea could over-run and flatten Seoul which is very close to the border and has enough artillery pointed at it to cause massive casualties. Even if the artillery shell is old and outdated, enough of them hit your city, you are in for a bad day.

I don't think their missile can get over the Cascades. Moes should be good.

I have a feeling we will need to reference to this multiple times over the next few years.

We have bases surrounding Korea and can drop nukes with planes or submarines. Before they can see if the nuke hits, their county would look like judgement day.

wipe out 24M people from a preempted attack... the US wouldn't have any ground to stand on

NK may be able to launch at least a few to hit SK and maybe Japan and other US military bases. Even if not, can you predict China or Russia reaction? Want to take that gamble?

Let's keep it simple - there is no good ending to a nuclear war... and there is no such thing as a guaranteed one-sided nuclear attack. Attempting something like that is the action of a monster and thinking it's one-sided is extremely foolish and deadly.

That's a little surprising, but you're right. That was one of their only sources of income... I'd like to take this opportunity to remind Clutchfans that Katy is significantly closer to the DPRK than most of Houston.

25 million human beings living a desperate life in N Korea btw. Poverty, discrimination, prison, crushing surveillance, destitute future, terrible schools, etc. Military filled with people who are forced to be there. Hell, everyone is forced to be there.

These are the people who will form the majority of the deaths. They will be charred to death, just like in those images of Hiroshima, after a lifetime of begging someone in the sky to be saved from the depths of the most hopeless and emotionally painful life.

Have you been brainwashed so much that this thought doesn't even cross your mind when you haphazardly talk about another few million people worth of "collateral damage" in a noble cause? Are you not starting to catch the drift of why "wars" have hundreds of thousands dying on one side, and a few hundred dying on the other? Is that really a war or...?

Hope someone gets rid of this Kim Jong Un and saves those people from their miserable situation. Isn't it sad? Isn't this situation sad? This kid in charge of subjugating people, and those people are suffering, meanwhile exponentially more powerful institutions and media abroad are prodding him and pushing him and assassinating or bribing the only people who are close to him. Of course he's going to act erratically. This is exactly how you make someone act erratically. He was born with a crazy father telling him their backs are against the wall and half their country was stolen and the people who stole half their country has surrounded them with nuclear capable bases and that hostile foreign country has installed bases in many countries already. Of course he's going to be crazy. Who wouldn't be crazy in that situation? This is how you make him crazy. This is how you get a part of the population to fight for him. This is how you generate an unnecessary danger to Americans.

What a stupid game. And you guys are complaining about minimum wage and education and healthcare. Where the F do you think all your money is going? To stupid **** like this, manufactured by the people who are going to execute the mass assault. None of it trickles down anymore, the greed is too strong, and the extra money is in the tax havens and in the yacht clubs and in the super pacs and in the shares of media entities and so on. How many times have you seen the same process taking place just in your lifetime? Same stories. Same rumors. Same news. Same strategy. Same everything as every other "war".

Stop wasting your money to risk your lives and necessitate killing others. You got problems at HOME. Fix your HOME where you live. Tell this evil f'cker Kim Jong Un that you are withdrawing from around him and pull the rug from right under him and watch his own people eat him alive. They make up fake enemy story lines for you guys to rally behind the 2-faction party. And that process works the other way too. Your foreign policy is serving as the excuse to keep Kim Jong Un in power, keep the mullahs in Iran in power, keep ISIS and Al Qaeda recruiting. And between all these guys, they are MINTING it with their friends. The biggest money laundering scheme we've ever seen, and no illegal collusion or mysterious meetings required.

Nothing is endangering your country more than the rusty infrastructure, the corrosive education, the eroding healthcare and what is soon to be the hollowed out social security system. Honestly guys, you need to take care of yourselves your guys are robbing you of a future that your work hard for, a future you deserve.
