NRA resists even the most reasonable protection of human life. At what point does the NRA get simply ignored for being unreasonable and far to the extreme?

When more than 60% of eligible voters show up in primaries.

    Probably never.

I hope the NRA wins. This law is useless. Better to have the NRA disgust people than have a token victory that does nothing.

ridiculous and unconstitutional to deny an adult an explicit constitutional right

If a man is mature enough to buy an 'M' rated violent video game he is old enough to buy an assault style rifle.

NRA and Florida are both crazy. Have you guys read the marriage laws for underage kids?

And yet you're a fan of voting restrictions.

Nevermind that 'right to own any gun with no rules' is not actually a constitutional right.

Yeah your right while we are at it let’s repeal the machine gun ban. Since it is unconstitutional to deny an explicit constitutional right.

Not useless and you got to start somewhere.

Might have prevented the Parkland shooting given he obtained the guns legally.

Raising the age limit for all guns purchase to 21 nationwide, plus true universal background check, a ban on high capacity mag, and requiring the same background check for ammo as gun would go a long way toward reduction of school mass shootings.

It is constitutionally mandated to regulate the "militia". From 18 to 21 is a form of regulation.

Fortunately, no (so-called "explicit") constitutional right is absolute. Not even the First Amendment, even with the wording “Congress shall make no law respecting”:
The Second Amendment has different wording: “shall not be infringed.” But even in the Heller decision, the courts clearly said:
So just as the government has shown the minimal good sense to regulate clearly military weapons like tanks, flamethrowers, and others... and make certain types of ammunition illegal, eg armor-piercing bullets, illegal even here in Texas. These new laws in Florida are neither ridiculous nor unconstitutional. In fact, the only reasonable criticism of them is that they are not national since all one has to do is go across the state border to skirt the new laws.
