    Unless you are injured or property damaged, I bet it might range for having a hotel paid for if you can't get a continuing flight and a free meal - all the way to $10k.

    Given that this was the engine manufacturer's fault, they may not give anything for instance if they were not negligent. Airline's are stingy.

    Tnh fact that it is SouthWest may help here (smaller airline can't tarnist reputation), or hurt her (low cost airline can't afford bad PR). I bet they don't get much.

    Perhaps. It's interesting though, because you are watching someone get killed in this example. Or perhaps you have your child with you that sees someone get killed.
