Unless we're getting KD or someone like that, EG ain't going nowhere. As far as I'm concerned, CP3, Harden, CC, EG, Tucker are all untouchable.

Although I admire your loyalty, I don't think Morey shares your opinion. He intimated as much earlier in the offseason when he spoke of a big deal almost going through and that it would be all people would have been talking about, etc. DM no doubt sees EG as essential to this team, but he is a player that I think DM feels he can improve upon to land a superstar, which EG, even at his best, is not.

True. He's not a super star. Which is why he's not getting paid like one. Too lazy to check, but not many players in the league with his shooting, versatility to play the point, and everything else he brings to the table at his cost.

Terrible idea , waste of not only an asset but future cap space.

Much better off holding onto that "terrible contract".

    Absolutely Nothing.

As bad as Anderson the player has been , Anderson the contract is fantastic - You can take on $24.1m in salary via trade in exchange for just his contract.

Not many teams have a 20m+ contract that they can trade and not give up anything of consequence on the court.

That contract gives them the financial vehicle to make just about any trade.

At the deadline I almost expect him to be attached to an asset or two in exchange for a star/semi star that's going to leave his current team at seasons end , they'll get a pick / prospect and we'll get to rent a difference maker for the stretch run and the playoffs.
