SJWs would say he was deemed 'suspicious' because he was profiled as a Muslim.

I'd say it is a violation of his rights. If you have a right in theory, but can't effectuate that right in practice because stores don't want to sell to you, then isn't your right being abrogated? If a pharmacist must fulfill prescriptions for the Morning After pill, and bakers must make cakes for gay weddings, shouldn't gun stores be compelled to sell guns, ammo, and body armor to creepy, angry guys despite their misgivings? I'm only kinda kidding.

Only works that way for cakes. FFL can refuse to sell to anyone. I've seen it happen in person.

Not necessary. It sounds like they didn't know who he was.

But this does bring up a few points. If the "background check" also include type, accessories and quantity purchased, the FBI could detect for abnormality and with current / previous information, they can at least keep the person under some surveillance. Similar to the idea of how any cash transfer over 10k a day is reported.

FBI may have dropped the ball, but what are they supposed to do if the store had no ID on him and they had no surveillance footage? I'm all game for blaming the FBI if those things were available.

Trump does remain a joke of a candidate, though.

Does your hourly gorging in D&D no longer satisfy your appetite, so you're now scouring old Hangout threads for slights against the God Emperor?

    Agreed.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go bump the 9/11 thread so I can call King Cheetah a poopy face.
