Lmao people loosing their **** over Nick Young is hilariously r****ded. Young is trash, one of the worst defenders in the NBA, super low IQ. I wouldn't even take him for minimum on the Rockets.
Actually, one of the reasons the Warriors were interested is because of his defense in Luke Walton's system last year.
His DPM and DTRG and DPRM are absolutely horrific. I just can't believe that he played good defense. He's a streaky shooter, this year he was really hot. I'll give him that. Defense is and has been horrific over his entire career.
He can hit the open 3's and is pretty good at staying on his man like he did on Durant. It is surprising that we didn't go after this guy but i am hoping that means morey is going after a larger fish.
I want to see him buy into their motion, ball-movement offense. If he does, this is a very good signing. He'll get a lot of non-pressure minutes in blowouts and be one of the best 10th men in the NBA. It still makes me laugh when I think about the time last year when he intercepted a pass between teammates and hit a game-winner at the buzzer.
What are you expecting a team to fill out the end of the bench with, though? Good two-way players? Once you get to the 10-15th roster spots, just having a real, bankable NBA skill is a plus.
Maybe they'll have a 10th man of the year award. Sixth Man is getting more and more meaningless as teams are stashing some of their top players on the bench.
I feel like the perception of a player supercedes the players actual skillset here. Media based perceptions are usually wrong. Certain players will have certain stigmas the media gives them regardless of how well they play. Nick Young wouldve been great here
I wouldnt be surprised if he doesnt get minutes or harms them sometimes when he does. Hes not exactly known as a guy who takes smart shots within the flow of an offense well
West, Zaza, and McGee haven't re-signed yet. Zaza and West are expected to resign, but it sounds like Javale is at least entertaining other offers.Ian Clark sounds like he may get paid by someone else (and they'll probably regret it). They also bring back Patrick McCaw, and their first rounders from the last 2 years (Damian Jones and Kevon Looney), as well as their 2nd rounder from this year that they spent 3.5 million on, Jordan Bell. If Zaza/West/McGee are all back, it's there entire rotation, except Nick Young, Casspi, and Jordan Bell replace Ian Clark.
