    A couple of thoughts:

Nick is right about Shumpert and Gordon. We absolutely need EG to continue stepping up, but it is tough to ask him to replicate what he did the other night. More likely scenario is that he chips in 16-24 points on 35-40% 3 point shooting. Which basically means we need a lot more from CP3 and Capela whose lob game has been completely eliminated by Draymond (unacceptable in my opinion) and free throw shooting percentage is now tanking.

For GSW, one area that they tend to fly under the radar, especially Steph, is how much they rely on whistles for their offense. Steph is as crafty at getting to the line as anyone in the league, and there have been really tight games this season where GSW was on the cusp of losing that turned because Steph flailed like a fish without getting touched and ended up getting three free throws (game against Portland comes to mind). Steph drives and jumps backwards into defenders, when he shoots his arms and legs kick out, etc. He actually might be tougher to ref than James in this regard.

Of the two, I am more worries about Klay. Klay is not a player that needs to dribble and in the playoffs has had some really epic games against us. He needs little to no daylight and can make big shots. I hope our defense remains stout tonight and that we're able to cash in on a few unexpected buckets from 'other guys' while catching some of their players on off-nights.

I have NO CLUE what game these guys were watching: First of all if the REF'S call the foul with 3 seconds to go when Chris Paul got held the game is over. Then 8 out of 12 Quarters the Rockets have out scored the Warriors.

If we can just get fair REF's calls the rockets can beat this team, we got robbed in GAME 1 so it should be 2-1 Houston.

Do many ppl feel this way? I didn't think CP was fouled. And with that time/score i feel almost no way that should've been called. Complaints like this will just have us sounding like the whiny complainers other fans inaccurately project onto us. just my 2 cents

Nick is so right about their bench. Here’s the thing, the Warriors have to have big games from at least 3 of their big 4 to win because there is zero bench production. That is not the case with the Rockets. They even discussed the fact that CP3 didn’t have a big game, yet we had enough from everyone else to withstand 46 from Durant. I’m perfectly fine with Durant dropping 50 and then no one else doing anything.

Yeah, but Curry and Klay can get very hot too. Draymond can't be allowed to get a triple double either.
Durant needs to be kept to 32 at the most.

Ideally we trade Paul for one of these guys but no way that happens. We will have to scrap our team to afford either and end up with harden , Beal/ butler, Capela, Paul and scrubs on a minimum contract to support them. Not ideal when Paul becomes a bonafide 40m a year role player.

I can think of many ring chasers that would sign the dotted line.

Last year Rockets played very good against GS with CP3 on floor specially in the end (clutch time), CP3 was playing good defense plus was hitting 3s. However this year he is not as sharp, more often than not reluctant to shoot 3s and even missing free throws,

I agree that the Rockets need to be wary of klay and especially curry underperforming in recent games, and they need to contain green's dimes and boards better.
However, I suggest continuing to sic P.J. on durant as much as possible one on one. Tuck makes him work and tires him out, and more durant iso is actually better for the Rockets, because it stagnates their potent offense. If kevin goes off for 40+, let the sports media drool all over him as long as it results in a Rockets W.

Houston just isn’t attractive even for these ring chasers. I’m sure the intelligent veterans we want are aware on some level that the league has it out for Houston, and they don’t want to be a part of that.
