there's no possible way we're not keeping this guy around right? just for reassurance i'd like to see some quotes from jvg or CD about signing him the rest of the year. even though swift was playing well before he got hurt, hayes plays with twice his energy and might be the perfect compliment to yao. i'm anticipating seeing those two on the court together.
Since he is from Albuquerque Thunderbird (just found in nba website), I will call him Thunderbird or T-bird. And, I never knew we have a NBDL team in local . OK, I have to go see their games and maybe someday I will find a second Hayes for Rox .
So, since I live in the Great White North now, I hardly ever get to see rockets games anymore, but the last time I did see them about a month ago, they were unbearable to watch. I'm curious, with baxter and hayes, do they still look just as disorganized, but with 2 hustle players, or does the whole team seem to look like it has a shred of care or life in it?
might have been a reference to a family relation too allegedly, Elvin and Chuck are kin somewhere in their trees
That caught my eye. I haven't seen him taking mid-range jumpers so far. But if he can do that on a consistent basis, he's the gem we're looking for.
he mentioned previously that he was asked to play a certain role, VG wants him hanging in the paint for rebounds and post defense...not alot of call for midrange jumpers from down there. Judgin from his free throw form, Im doubtful he has much of a consistent jumper. but as long as he keeps cleaning the glass, and playing good defense Im ok with that. Jumpers can be improved through practice, the desire and knack for rebounding can not.
