A cheerleader asks a special needs friend to the prom.

I originally saw this story in the Chron, but the local paper has a better story. That girl's got a big heart to do this and it can't be easy for her with the social pressures of high school. Of course CF is gonna talk about her looks mostly, but a pretty girl with a good heart isn't common, especially at that age. I'm glad there are still nice girls out there.

Nice, but the real question is did she let him get to second base?

Wow, that's awesome. Living above yourself and making someone happy no matter what people think or even say. What a special person. As a father of an autistic middle-schooler, I pray that there are others who will display grace like this to him as she did for these special needs kids.

This story stood out to me because I have friends with autistic and special needs children as well. The world could use more people like her. I'm glad others like the story too, because reading it honestly lifted my mood today.

Girl has a great heart. I'm sure it won't just be a moment that he looks happily upon, but it will be something that she will remember as well. Giving someone else pure and genuine joy can be the greatest feeling in the world.

Vet and dog eat in kennel together
18 February 2016 Last updated at 08:07 GMT
When an abandoned dog wasn't eating properly, her vet decided to help by climbing into her cage and eating his own meal with her!
Graycie was very poorly and brought to an animal hospital in Georgia, USA, a few weeks ago.
Since then her health's been improving but her vet Dr. Andy Mathis noticed she wasn't comfortable eating around people.
To get her more relaxed he took his own meal into her cage and ate alongside Graycie - even using a metal dog bowl for his own food.
It's hoped she'll feel more relaxed around humans and will soon find a new home too.
Watch the clip to see Graycie and Dr Mathis share a meal together...

She's using him for a publicly stunt. If she really cared about him, she wouldn't crave this attention from it.

Or she's helping spread the message that kids with special needs are people, too. And read the story, she's gonna go to college to study nursing or special education.

It would have been more epic if he would have had the nuts to turn her down.
