I just caught the tail end of this "On The Road Again" segment of CBS Evening News. #60 Josh Brown, a starting NFL center, leaves a 5 year 37M contract to become a farmer. I don't keep up with the NFL except for the Texans & I don't remember what team he played for. He's never farmed before. But he learned from the internet & the help of neighboring farmers in N. C. He just harvested his 1st 5 acre plot of sweet potatoes & donated that harvest to the local food bank. They interviewed someone from the food bank who said that he has 1000 acres and was planning to increase production and continue donating the produce to the food bank. Just a refreshing sports story!
