You missed the part where I wrote Alonso is a promising young LB (Albeit returning from injury). He may not be the same, he may be the same. Who knows, as long as he doesn't have to face the same injury path as Cushing. More important part is that the Bills defense was good even w/o him last year. Still not worth taking on more salary and relinquishing cap space for a position that could easily be filled in the mid rounds by several potentially promising young RB's.

A whole lot of Jay Cutler’s ex-coaches are ripping him, anonymously http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...g-him-anonymously/?ocid=Yahoo&partner=ya5nbcs
Oof. You daring lass. I might as well make one of my own. The New York Jets will not make the playoffs. Hot take, yes I know. IDC.
Cap space don't mean shyt if you're not a free agent destination and that's Buffalo. Heck, Oakland had a ton of cap space last year and it did them no good. So to get a player like Shady they would have to overpay anyway... And solid elite running backs that can be counted on week in and week out do not grow on trees (anyone who plays fantasy football will tell you that). Side note: I'm sure many owners weren't too happy with Shady last season. Shady and Sammy... That's a hellofa lot of speed and they're in the same division with New England and they needed major help on offense. Don't know if it will help them win the division but at least they're trying and not standing pat and wasting time with that dominate defense they have. This is Alonso's second knee injury by the way. I'm surprised Philly didn't get Alonso and a draft pick for Shady.
That's the thing that is confusing a lot of people, not getting at least 2-4th rounder in the deal as well from Buffalo. Who probably would've thought about it a little bit harder? But, they were like SURE...
And he kept getting jobs .... really good ones. He had a pretty long career for an average QB with ELITE-level talent. He could be fun to watch (esp. Atlanta and Minn - one year).
If you yell at your teammates and coaches and win, they call you a leader. If you yell at your teammates and coaches and lose, they call you a jerk.

Kind of like how if you are one of those leaders who are laid-back, lead by example, and not in people's face...you are considered as a "leader-by-example." If you are the kind of player on a team that loses, you are considered a slacker, soft, or don't truly care about winning.
