I bow down to the Pats greatness... and the League. So, does anyone really believe that Atlanta has a prayer of winning the SB?
New England hasn't faced an offense as good as Atlanta's all season.... that being said, the Patriots defense has taken off, and is actually collectively playing better than the offense right now. Plus, Belichick has been the mastermind behind defensive gameplans that shut down Montana's 49ers, Kelly's Bills, and Warner's Rams. I don't think he's going to be too afraid of Ryan's Falcons... but doesn't mean the game will be a blowout. Actually, most Patriots SB's are very close.... they've yet to really blow anybody out.
...So we've gotten one competitive game these playoffs - and a riveting defensive battle won by a team w/ 6 field goals played in Kansas City. Hooray. I hope someone's tit pops out during the Super bowl. I can't take another Brady/Belicheck circle jerk party this year, this time in Houston. So the Falcons winning would be great, I just don't see it happening.
our defense is ten times better than this crap perfomance from the steelers defense. We just need a competent qb.
Bill Belichick is going to the same thing to Julio Jones in the Super Bowl what he did to Antonio Brown today. Take away their best weapon and make Sanu or Gabriel beat his defense.
I would say Bell was the Steelers best weapon... and he effectively took himself out by getting hurt. Falcons have their work cut-out... its basically the Kubiak offense with more motion, more speed, a better QB, and a dynamite RB tandem.
I sincerely hope that trend continues. You have to go back to 2004 to find a shootout though. Seattle, those 2li Giant teams, and Philly had very solid defenses, as I recall. That Packer secondary was ripe to have a good QB like Ryan massacre them. You know as well as I do that Belicheck's going do everything he can to take Jones out of the equation. Then that young ATL defense has to deal w/ Brady. And if the Pats do win a close game I have to hear about how Belicheck is God and see them at the White House and blah blah blah. Ugh. Already I'm listening to Simms trail off into verbal fellatio about the mighty, mighty Patriots. I like Super Bowl Sunday. It's a fun day for me. I'd rather not have to throw up my wings at the end of the night.
