I know we drafted Posey and Martin, but I wouldn't mind adding Edwards or Sims-Walker. They are an upgrade over Walters and the rookies anyway.
But I don't think we're going to have the money to sign one of them (cheap) ...

I'd be fine with bringing in Sims-Walker.

I wouldn't mind taking a look at Plax... but do we have enough cap space to sign even the cheapest reciever?

It's WALTER, not Walters. And I wouldn't mind any of these guys coming in to give the rookies a year to develop, but I don't see how we could get anyone here and remain under the cap, unless they are signing a very cap-friendly deal. You're not being cheap when you literally have no money to spend. It's amazing how many people don't understand that fact.

Shuab avoids the pressure, Walters is covered, checks down to Daniel.

I'm pretty confident they will bring in a veteran wide receiver. After Johnson and Walter, it's nothing but rookies and UDFA's who haven't played a regular season snap.

how would this effect our stable of rookie/young WRs?
    Posey / Martin / Jones / Jean / (Maehl?)

Assuming that Kubes runs with 5 WRs, at least one of those guys would already have to get stashed on IR for a year (or run the risk of getting plucked off your PS)

    Plax.

In fact, I really only consider Plax and Edwards to be improvements over Walter. I'd think at worst with Plax you are getting a solid red zone or first down possession target, with the best being a top receiver. Edwards at worst is going to give you nothing because of those bricks he has instead of hands.

I know, right? He's only been with us for about 5 years! You would think people would figure it out by now!

Yeah, anyway, I'll take Mike Sim-Walkers.

I think they will sign Jarett Dillard if they sign a vet.

I would rather use our rookies than any of those guys.
