With the first pick in the 2016 draft, the Los Angeles Rams select Jared Goff, QB from Cal.

This is the expected, easy pick, but considering the trade it took to get to this pick, it's is the right one to make. With a strong defense and a generational RB, it was time to finally get a QB for the new NFL city.

With pick #2 Philly selects Carson Wentz QB North Dakota State.

They absolutely take "the other qb" here after trading up to the 2nd pick. The Eagles are now fully invested in the qb position with Wentz, Bradford & Daniel. Look for Wentz to sit his rookie year to develop behind Bradford/Daniel.

SD & gucci888 is on the clock.

LOL... I was about to apologize late last night for having to travel to Waco at the last minute and delaying/missing the #7 pick.

With the 3rd pick, SD selects Jalen Ramsey, DB, FSU.

The Chargers go with the best athlete and possibly the best prospect in the draft. Ramsey would be an instant (and cheaper) upgrade over Weddle. Or keep him at CB and you have a big press cover CB in the Richard Sherman mold.

Dallas Cowboys select Joey Bosa DE Ohio State. They get their much needed pass rusher who will also help against the run.

Jacksonville selects Myles Jack OLB UCLA. The Jags continue to shore up their defense and look to a versatile player who could end up playing all 3 linebacker positions and has the ability to play safety.

Baltimore/Sir Geving is on the clock for the next 3 hours.

Baltimore Ravens selects OT Laremy Tunsil out of Ole Miss.

Eugene Monroe has been a huge disappointment, is constantly injured and is more concerned about legalizing weed than playing football at this point it seems. Think the Ravens would jump for joy if it turned out this way and Tunsil is available.

With the 7th pick, the San Francisco 49ers take DeForrest Buckner, DE, Oregon. A need position, the Oregon connection, Baalke's love of defense, comes from a 3-4. The team could have gone two other ways (positions), but if Buckner is there its a pretty easy pick.

Looks like 8.) Cleveland - moestavern19 is on the clock.

With the 8th pick the Cleveland Browns select Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida.

The Browns can't afford to botch another first round pick, and adding another Florida CB next to Joe Haden will help solidify their secondary. No one piece is going to turn this franchise around, but by trading down and acquiring more picks, the Browns can start adding talent to a roster devoid of it.

Tampa Bay looks to protect their young QB with a solid tackle in Ronnie Stanley.

The Giants are thrilled that the most talented offensive player in Ezekiel Elliott falls to them at number 10.

Chicago considered taking a CB but decided to add some playmaking ability to their defense with Leonard Floyd.

New Orleans has always had issue with defense so they decide to go with a stout but flexible DT in A'Shawn Robinson.

Moestavern19 is on the clock with Miami and Oakland. We'll say until noon tomorrow.

The Dolphins take CB Eli Apple Ohio State to address secondary needs.

The Raiders select Darron Lee, LB, Ohio State. After filling a lot of holes in FA, the Raiders need a sideline to sideline LB who can drop back into coverage.

The Titans already feel like we won the draft with our big trade. We feel comfortable knowing that we can draft OT and secondary players in the next 2 rounds. With our #15 pick, we're willing to take a risk on a huge playmaker.... Josh Doctson, WR, TCU

With the 16th pick, the Detroit Lions select Laquon Treadwell-WR-Ole Miss

Shocked by the retirement of Calvin Johnson, the Lions look to get another big playmaker at WR for QB Matthew Stafford. While lacking top end speed, Treadwell has all the other traits/abilities to fill the role left vacant by Johnson's retirement.

With the 17th pick, the Atlanta Falcons select, Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson.

Pass rush, pass rush, pass rush. Atl needs it in a bad way from more than 1 position on the field. They begin to address this need with Lawson who will provide pressure on opposing QBs on a regular basis.

No need to get cute here. Colts need a tackle. Conklin is the best tackle left.

    The colts select Jack Conklin.

Buffalo selects Robert Nkemdiche DL Ole Miss. Rex looks to replace Mario Williams and adds a player who can line up at 3-4 DE and at times can be moved inside.

New York Jets select Paxton Lynch QB Memphis. Whether Ryan Fitzpatrick returns or not, the Jets get their QB of the future.

Washington selects WR/Offensive Weapon Braxton Miller. The Skins shake it up by selecting a player far ahead of his draft stock. Dan Snyder has never been afraid of a challenge, and Washington hopes that Miller's quick transition from QB will translate into even more production in the pros.

    Sooty/Houston is on the clock.

Houston selects Corey Coleman WR Baylor. Speed receiver opposite Deandre, blah blah blah.

moestavern19 is on the clock with Minnesota, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh.

Minnesota takes WR Will Fuller Notre Dame. Vikings would have rather had Doctson or maybe even Treadwell, but they believe Fuller has great speed and home run ability. He addresses their biggest weakness, the WR position.

Cincinatti takes DT Jarran Reed Alabama. Bengals are dispoointed by the WR run but feel Reed is a great consolation prize and will pair nicely with Geno Atkins inside.

Pittsburgh takes CB William Jackson III Houston. The Steelers have to get better in the secondary as they were demolished last season. Jackson was a combine standout and has good size and speed.

Seattle selects Ryan Kelly C Alabama for the easy pick.

Green Bay selects Reggie Ragland LB Alabama.
