Since this was done last week for the Murderer's Row stretch, give it one more go: 3/17 vs Utah 3/20 vs Min 3/22 @ Cle 3/24 @ Cha 3/26 vs Phi
3-2 a loss to Minny, cause we will be unprepared, and I feel like Houston wont take Charlotte seriously, I will be at the Charlotte game, but I feel it cold be a trap game the way Charlotte has been playing lately hopefully they play good when I go see them in Charlotte.
5-0 is a possibility but 4-1 is optimal. Can't emphasize enough how critical it is for our postseason hopes to stay as the 4 seed. The worst thing we could possibly do is having to play OKC or LAC in the 2nd round. That could happen if we win too much.
I predict 4-1. These are 5 easily winnable games, but I fear a letdown in one of them(probably at either Cleveland or Charlotte). If the Rockets have any hopes at the 3rd(or even 2nd given OKC's continued struggles) seed, they must win every one of these games though.
4-1. Loss @ Charlotte. Irving got hurt against the Clippers tonight so he might not play that game. Minnesota is capable of winning but I still think the Rockets win that one. Utah has played well for stretches their last 2 games so that could be the trap game.
Charlotte is certainly the trapper. Minny might have been if it was away. Charlotte will come down, again, to Dwight. Isn't it horrible how often we say that? But what can you do, Charlotte is all Al Jefferson and Al Jefferson is playing the best basketball of his career right now. It's not like he's better than Dwight, but Dwight has just been so inconsistent lately, and not against good competition either. I mean, OKC Chicago and Miami are good, but are Steven Adams/Collison/Thabeet or Noah/Boozer/Gibson or Birdman/Oden/Haslem really that good? C'MON DUHWIGHT.
5-0. Toughest game(Minnesota) is at home. The B2B is Utah at home. And I have to think we can beat Charlotte even on the road. Predict 55 wins at the end of the season.
4-1, anything less will be a disappointment. They understand it's the stretch run and need to secure the 4th seed.
I disagree. I say anything less than 5-0 will be a disappointment. The Rockets should have had their growing pains this season, and this is the part of the year when you win the games you are supposed to win if you are to be taken seriously in the playoffs. No hiccups. The three road losses were unfortunate, but understandable. Any losses in the upcoming five games will be unforgiveable.
I think you are absolutely on target. The Rockets have to "make hay while the sun shines," and in this five game stretch it's shining. If they don't take all of these games seriously, I predict an early exit in the playoffs. They must get their heads together and focus.
