    The real question: is Keith Jones good enough to give an honest assessment of DMo's back and whether it will hold up or is he too busy lining up the all you can eat $5.99 chinese buffet in Bellaire Blvd this weekend

    @J.R. could answer

    Wow. This is actually a worse deal for DMo than the QO. With the QO, he at least got a guaranteed 7M. And then he would be a UFA. Now he could just get his 5M and then be gone.

    That would definitely work but will they take Brewers minutes away which is what they should do?

    Why does everybody hate D-MO? When he's healthy his skills outweighs his lack of rebounding. 9 mil is fine. Bismack Biyombo is getting paid 17 mil a year and has never averaged 6pts in his career.

    People still use the hate word too loosely around here. We have built up some great chemistry. The big man rotation is very solid so we don't need or have the minutes for Dmo. Who might I add wants to start and log big time minutes.

    Could the Rockets entertain a sign a trade deal with the Nets?

    Someone like Trevor Booker/Scola for DMo/Brewer? not sure if the math works.. Booker would be really nice in this offense. He is a physical rebounder...undersized...PF

    There are those who downplay DMo's skill set, in part because he's been out for so long (how easily we forget), but this has more to do with other factors---we already paid Ryan Anderson, we'd have to first cut or trade a player (or players), we have a semblance of chemistry with players who actually seem to enjoy playing together, can Morey find a trade that Donatas likes next summer (he'd have to approve it). And so on and so forth.

    Don't think anyone really hates dmo. He can be a solid player when he is healthy. But nothing really says he is right now. It's mainly his player only fans that have been overrating him for the past couple of years into something he truly isn't that gets a lot of people. And the same discussion has been talked about over and over and over. It's finally about time all of this comes to an end and we either move on with or without him.

    "Physical? Assessment of D-Mo's back? Brooklyn doctors already did that for me. I'll be at the buffet with Daryl." :)

    DM's 'evaluation' of the offer sheet is him running around the office high-fiving everybody...

    They got personally offended because DMo tried to find the best deal possible for him. It didn't pan out, but he had to try. Just goes to show how biased and irrational fans can be.

    If we match this contract, I hope all Rockets fans can unite and root for DMo to become a healthy and great player. If that happens, we are going to lock up a good player in a cheap contract for 4 years.

    Wait, you mean all it takes is for fans to root for him becoming healthy and great and that will happen? :eek:

    Harrell better not leave the rotation. I love his hustle and ability to block shots. Besides we don't even know if Dmo can play still. He looked like crap last year
