That was an epic trailer. Looked like a movie trailer. I hope this season doesn't get crushed under the overwhelming hype. Part of the charm of the show was that it was an under the radar gem.
My homepage doesn't have the countdown clock but some blonde woman holding a baby that looks like Mother Mary
One of the actors said the first twenty minutes of the first episode was really good. I'm going to try to watch one or two episodes tonight.
Rotten tomatoes is giving it a 92 score. Can't wait, although I'm going to rewatch the first season before diving into season 2.
I LIKED IT! I think it got a bit extra cheesy at the end but overall Good job . . Good Effort. Rocket River
Really liking sean astin & paul reiser in this. I know it's more just pandering to our 80's nostalgia craving than anything else, but they used their personalities in these characters perfectly. That same overly friendly manipulative company man from aliens. The eleven and jim relationship is kind of annoying me, Wynonna much less annoying than 1st season. She's almost calm, watchable by comparison. The music, the original music might even be better. Between the synth music/sound effects & all the 80's electronics & product packaging, is what is keeping me going more than anything. Aimless upside down.
I wish it could be longer than 9 episodes this season. I'm through four episodes and it feels like it went by so fast. I'm wanting to take it slow because it will be over pretty quick here it seems.
Ive been very impressed with the cinematography. By the end of episode 4, I found myself losing interest and felt like the show felling into the same trap many other shows fall into. However the remainder of the episodes found purpose for what seemed like a slow start for the series. With the show expected to end after 4 or 5 seasons, they have plenty of material to make this a terrific show. Sean Astin was a perfect fit for the show. My biggest critique is episode 7. It should just be out right deleted from the whole series.
It wasn't as impactful as the first season for me, but it still hooked me in. I watched it all the way thru. I couldn't help it. I had to know. I was impressed by the improvement of a few performances, mainly Nancy/Jonathan/Steve Harrington. The kids were great as expected, but I felt like Eleven took a step back. (I'm using character names only because Eleven's performance may have been from choices dictatorly forced onto the actress by the director.) I hope to see all of them in future work. For those that like the 80s retro style shows: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbo_Kid Anyone see Turbo Kid? (it's on Netflix)
