    a good read:

Grantland Exclusive: The Jason Kidd Mess Has a $144 Million Pricetag
    http://grantland.com/the-triangle/g...e-jason-kidd-mess-has-a-144-million-pricetag/

The Thunder are indeed paying into the revenue-sharing system, rare for such a tiny market, but they’re slated to make nearly $29 million in profit when everything is netted out. That’s the fifth-best projection in the league, trailing only the Lakers ($100.1 million), Bulls ($61 million), Rockets ($40.7 million), and Celtics ($33.1 million).

It is absolutely mind-blowing that an NBA team could bleed $144 million on the basketball side in 2014 http://grantland.com/the-triangle/g...e-jason-kidd-mess-has-a-144-million-pricetag/

no, take your adderall and invest 2 minutes, there are about 10 interesting and varied points about Kidd and the overall economics of of the NBA.

    - Nets made stupid personnel decisions to "win now"
    - Kidd is an a$$

    1. Supposedly Kidd had originally wanted them to bring in someone above King, not necessarily himself (although it eventually came up)
    2. If he was given the title, Kidd planned to eventually fire most of the front office, if not all of it
    3. When the Nets were slow to respond to the Bucks request to speak with Kidd, that's when Kidd began pushing himself for the new position
    4. The Nets are projected to have lost $144 million last year....the next biggest loss? The Wizards at $13 million.
    5. The Nets are done with Kidd, whether the Bucks hire him or not.
    6. The Bucks are banking on Kidd drawing in free agents
    7. The Bucks only want him as a coach, not the dual role he pursued in Brooklyn
    8. The Bucks will lose about $6.5 million due to paying two coaches, but will still profit about $15 million
    9. Nets coaching candidates - Lionel Hollins (the favorite), Mark Jackson, George Karl, Billy Donovan, Kevin Ollie, John Calipari, et al

If I read it right, $90 million of the loss was just in Luxury Taxes.

So the whole 2014 season, the contracts and LT from said contracts are all lumped in together as "the Jason Kidd mess"?

I mean, is the lulz on them though? Does Captain Russia care about losing the money or not? If he doesn't give a **** then the lulz is on us. It's not like they should be surprised, everyone saw this coming. It was calculated. Right?

It looks like Kidd watched House of Cards and decided to make some serious moves.
