Nene would have pushed us past Game 5 with the Spurs for sure, and we would have gone into Game 6 with confidence. He still is valuable. Tarik needs to give us defense, rebounding and run the P/R. I hope Nene will be well soon.
This is exactly why Tarik Black is (a) a Rocket in the first place and (b) been given weird short minute stints in most games so far this year. So that he is ready to play if Nene is unavailable (in back to backs, and, sadly, in case of injury)
More like an “injury”. Same as EGO’s “injury” aka rest, no need for them to really get worn down and injured this early and really the players playing are who need the chemistry built anyway.
Tarik really looked clumsy in the last game. He needs to get minutes more often, in my opinion, because he's better than he looked.
Morey might be waiting to see what happens with Tyson Chandler and the Suns. MDA got some of the best years out of him and in limited time he can still be a very good screen setter for the guards and roll to the bucket. Still can protect the rim as well. I f the Suns buy him out i could see Houston being very interested.

Because the Rockets are always paying very big amounts to the stars. James has been underpaid though for a number of years. GS is an exception with their drafting, they are able to surround their stars with good role players. Houston is on the right track though, I think we need a couple of more players who can make a Josh Smith like impact, to take us over the line.

actually not a bad time to rest.. we basically have four games in the next 12 days that should be easy peasy. Pacers, nets, lakers and Jazz (with out Gobert). We probably need to be full strength to go against blazers, Pelicans and spurs.. Our real test starts from December 25th to Jan 6th... We can potentially drop three games in that time period, as we see warriors, celtics and thunder in that window.
