Per 36 doesn't mean jack when a player cannot play that much and just because a guy puts up certain stats at the minutes he plays, does not equate to him doing the same with more minutes. I'd say production goes down more often than not with guys his age..

I swear the majority it seems just want to hate on Morey just to hate. 1 year at 2.9, I'll take it. If he would have signed with GS at that price Morey haters would be upset we didn't get him on the cheap.

Room Exception is from a different bucket. Every team under the cap gets Room Exception 2.9M. Every team over the cap gets MLE.

So Rockets still have their 10M in cap room.

Those would be great numbers for the bargain bin price he'll be paid.

People are just in a bad mood around here and have been hating on everything.

Don't worry about them... this is a nice signing.

Yes. It's the room exception which means the Rockets are expecting to be over the cap.

As a veteran presence I like it of course, but do not expect anything from him on the court. Please no more Jason Terry disaster where we count on old farts to produce.

I mean if you look at his stats from the years before he put up the same type of numbers and better with more playing time. Yes he is 1 year older but at the same time he is a bargain and capable.

we keep all our capspace until now. WHY? What are we planning?
Waiting to see if Chicago is stupid to unload Gibson?
A RFA offersheet to someone at that price range? Sully, Zeller?

Given the need and the contract this is a good signing. We needed depth at center badly.

Everyone is waiting for that big splash, and so far, we've only had kerplunks.

    No ****.

Nobody is saying that he'd have that same production if he was playing 36 minutes.

Per 36 is useful because it gives a clearer picture at how someone is producing at the minutes they are playing.

In 19 minutes per game, Nene is producing the same as someone averaging over 17 pts and 8.5 rebounds a game with starters minutes.

It just makes it easier to compare production IN THE MINUTES A PLAYER HAS PLAYED.

You don't understand the stat and are bashing it for something it's not supposed to be.
